PARTY!

For Navi's first birthday we did a circle party. So basically everything was circle shaped. Everything went exactly how I had hoped and we had so much fun! Thank you so much to everyone who came and for all the fun gifts!

Tears Tonight

WARNING: the following post contains (non explicit) content related to breastfeeding. Just a heads up.

From the second Navi was born we had an instant bond. Something that only a mother can have with her baby. The first time I nursed her my eyes filled up with tears, to be able to give this baby life,to hold her in my arms and know that she is mine for eternity. To hear her sweet sounds and look at her all too perfect features and study each feature and see them change daily. To be needed. To know that I was giving her the absolute best nutrition I could. To feel her little chubby hands reach up and find my face. Those moments that I have had her all to myself are single handeldy my most favorite part of being a mom.

One or walking has always been my goal for breastfeeding. I was determined. I guess one came first so here we are. I had no idea how hard this would be. I am going to miss those tender moments with my baby girl. I feel so greatful for the experience that I have had and I am soo looking forward to all of her future milestones but it is hard to say godbye to breastfeeding. I will miss it more than anyone will ever know! Thank you baby girl for loving the boob so much and for all of those irreplaceable moments. I will never forget them!

On another note she had her 1 year appt today and she did great with her shots. She got 4 today!
She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and height and of course 90th for her head!. Where did this big head come from?
Right now Navi loves climbing up the stairs! It is definitely her favorite thing. She will eat pretty much anything I give her. She still loves stuffed animals but books are her favorite toy. She will sit in her room and look at all her books one at a time for hours! She is such a book worm! Did I mention she is a talker? This girl loves to copy almost anything you say. Navi is so much fun and I am loving spending all my time with this little girl! Thanks Brandon for working so hard so I can be home all day with my little love!

My sweet baby girl is ONE!!!

Navi La'ie,
My sweet baby girl you are already one! Where has this year gone? I will never forget the first time I held you in my arms. I never knew I could feel so much love, and just when I think I couldn't love you anymore, tomorrow comes and you melt my heart all over again. I love reaching every milestone with you. Watching your unique personality develop and watching you constantly learn and grow. I even love when you poop because I know your body is working the right way. Every day you put a smile on my face a million times and you brighten the lives of everyone around you. I can't wait for all the new things you are on the verge of learning, you are already getting so smart and so fun. As much as I will miss you being a little baby you will always be my baby girl. Words will never describe my love for you but I hope I can show a fraction of it my being the best mommy that I can be to you. Happy Birthday baby girl.

Note to self

Next time I am trying to decide if i should buy something pre-made, or make it myself... Buy, ALWAYS BUY pre-made! I am working on making these cute things for navi's party and let me tell you... They are no easy task! But I think they are worth the trama (yes this is the kind of thing that is traumatizing to me!)

These Two...

MADE A BABY!!!

And we could not be more excited for them!!! I went ahead and did a little morphing to give you an idea of what their baby might look like! Cutie huh?
(well minus the wierd hair I'm not totally sure what happened there...)

So excited to meet my new niece or nephew in April! Gregg and Melissa will make probably the best parents ever! And I can't wait! Love you guys and Congrats!

Nothing sweeter

There is nothing sweeter than seeing that tender side of your husband when he rocks your baby to sleep and sings sweet little Tongan songs too her. I melt!

Cecret

I don't know if there could have been a better day to go hiking! Today was absolutely Perfect! We did a short hike up to cecret lake up in Albion basin, by Alta ski resort! IIt was gorgeous! And it's pretty safe to say that Navi LOVES hiking! I will post a video soon but for now enjoy these pictures, and remember if you don't live in Utah ( Ahem, Jules, Britt, Aubs, Gregg& Mellissa and all other non Utah residents) here is yet ANOTHER reason why you should move here! Not to sound like a crazy recruitting lady I'm just sayin... we could use the friends! Ok, tangent. Sorry!

Navi's way of getting around

Yes, I have a 10 month old that does not know how to crawl. It is not that she can't, it's just that she wont! (a blessing in disguise if you ask me) But that has not stopped her from developing her own way of getting around. This video shows her version of "crawling" listen for her oh-oh's that she says in there too. This baby girl is non-stop fun! And based on her unique personality I am not at all surprised that she has decided to make up her own way to crawl instead of the traditional way. LOVE THIS GIRL!!

Just Yesterday...

How can it be that my baby girl already has 4 teeth, is into EVERYTHING, is on the lowest crib setting and trying to copy any noise you make. It seems like

just yesterday I was holding her in my arms for the first time.

I guess she is not a newborn anymore.
